School of Foreign Languages, YEU

School of Foreign Languages was founded in 2010 with a current total of 50 local and international teachers, 11 percent of whom are associate professors while 25 percent of Chinese faculties have overseas learning experience. School of Foreign languages consists of 3 departments, the English Language Department, the College English Department and the ESP Department. The English Language Department enrolled its first undergraduates in 2000 and has adopted an Academic Tutorial System since then. Students are to be equipped with innovation-oriented talents and a good command of foreign languages to better serve the local economy and society. The College English Department teaches English to freshman and sophomore Non-English majors. The ESP Department provides professional module courses to junior and senior Non-English majors. These courses are conducted by international teachers, using original textbooks.

The school attaches as much importance to teaching as to academic research, and has won numerous awards. In 2014, a project of the school won the 2nd Prize of Fujian Provincial Higher Education Teaching Achievement. By 2015, the school faculties have received four Fujian provincial awards in the National College English Teaching Competition, a Fujian Provincial Excellent Course, a key research project from the Fujian Provincial Science of Education Program “The 12th Five-Year Plan”, a research project of the Fujian Provincial Teaching Reform Program, etc. 2015 witnessed remarkable achievements of the school. A new innovation-and-quality-oriented teaching program was implemented, which contributed to 50 awards at Fujian provincial level, including 17 national awards.

437必赢会员中心成立于2010年9月，是在学校创建初期的大学英语教研部和2000年开设的英语专业基础上发展壮大的。学院现有英语系和大学英语教学部及外籍教师教学部3个二级单位，开设英语和商务英语两个专业。学院现有语言实验室3间，商务英语综合实验室1间，研讨实验室1间，与经济学院共建商务函电、商务谈判、国际商务综合实训平台3间，与人文学院共建网络新媒体实验室（跨境电商直播）1间。学院共有5位教师入选泉州市高层次人才。

    学院自成立以来，在教学和科研方面取得较多成绩。先后建设大学英语省级精品课程，2014年获得福建省高等教育教学成果奖二等奖，英语专业完成省级创新创业教育改革试点专业建设，2020年“英语综合能力在外贸企业的实践与运用”被认定为省级一流社会实践课程，2022年英语专业入选为省级一流本科专业。

在“十四五”规划的开局之年，437必赢会员中心全体同仁团结协作、齐心协力，围绕转型发展和创新创业教育改革，为学校建设“开放型、国际化”现代大学而不断努力奋斗。
